Carlisle Building Re-Opening Special Event
Posted on October 26, 2015
Last year, SMBH was part of the renovation of the Carlisle building in Chillicothe. This project has special meaning for one of our BIM Specialists, Ryan Harmon. Not only was Ryan a part of the SMBH design team, in April 2003 when a fire broke out and gutted the four-story building, Ryan’s father, Bob, was the fire captain in charge of fighting the fire.
Now, after a three-year, $10 million renovation, the Carlisle will reopen with office space on the first floor and 32 urban-loft apartments on the other three. In this article, Bob Harmon talks about his memories of the fire and how his crews fought to save the building.
SMBH’s Bill Shelley was also in attendance at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the building on October 19.
